Supernatural $3.95 The Arista debut of Carlos Santana and band gives fans of the soulful guitar vet two albums in one, but it’s a decidedly good-news, bad-news proposition. First, there’s a fine collection of late-’90s-model Santana–tastefully tooled songs driven by Latin jazz and Afro-Cuban rhythms (“[Da Le] Taleo,” “Africa Bamba,” “Migra,” “Primavera,” and the emotionally charged instrumental “El Farol”) that all… |

Millennium $8.99 For their hard-core under-18 fans, of course, the Backstreet Boys are all that, and a bag of chips and free soda to boot. Millennium, the follow-up to the quintet’s umpteen-million-selling debut, offers more reasons why so many of the rest of us have found a place for them in our hearts. The Boys’ ultrapackaged look and up-to-date production underscore the quality of their best tracks; only a chur… |

Ray of Light $0.01 Never underestimate Madonna’s power of persuasion: By nearly all critical accounts, Ray of Light, Madonna’s first album of new material since 1994’s Bedtime Stories, and her first since motherhood, is her richest, most accomplished record yet. While Ray of Light is being tagged as Madonna’s big leap into electronica, it’s important to note two things: First, her music has always had close ties to … |

Monsters, Inc. [VHS] $13.84 The folks at Pixar can do no wrong with Monsters, Inc., the studio’s fourth feature film, which stretches the computer animation format in terms of both technical complexity and emotional impact. The giant, blue-furred James P. “Sulley” Sullivan (wonderfully voiced by John Goodman) is a scare-monster extraordinaire in the hidden world of Monstropolis, where the scaring of kids is an imperative in … |

Star Wars – Episode I, The Phantom Menace [VHS] $2.99 “I have a bad feeling about this,” says the young Obi-Wan Kenobi (played by Ewan McGregor) in Star Wars: Episode I, The Phantom Menace as he steps off a spaceship and into the most anticipated cinematic event… well, ever. He might as well be speaking for the legions of fans of the original episodes in the Star Wars saga who can’t help but secretly ask themselves: Sure, this is Star Wars, bu… |

Wizard of Oz [VHS] $3.30 When it was released during Hollywood’s golden year of 1939, The Wizard of Oz didn’t start out as the perennial classic it has since become. The film did respectable business, but it wasn’t until its debut on television that this family favorite saw its popularity soar. And while Oz’s TV broadcasts are now controlled by media mogul Ted Turner (who owns the rights), the advent of home video has mad… |

How much should I be pumping so I know my 7 month old is getting enough to eat?
My daughter is now about 7 months old and not sure if I am pumping enough for her to eat the next day. Right now her schedule has been:
5:30 – Breastfeed
8:30 – Breakfast (3.0oz pumped breastmilk and one jar of fruit mixed with Cereal)
9:00 to 11:00 is playtime and she might take a small nap
11:30 – Lunch (2 or 3oz. pumped breastmilk and one jar of veggies mixed with cereal)
12:00 till about 3:00 Nap time
3:30 Snack (3 or 4oz pumped breastmilk)
6:00 Dinner (2 jars of stage 2 foods mixed with cereal)
7:30 breastfeed
8:00 bed
Any suggestions on what else I should or shouldnt be doing? I have increased how many times I pump to see if that might help my amount but nothing seems to help. I was pumping about 10-12 oz during a working day but now its more like 5 or 6oz. What am I doing wrong? Should I maybe start feeding her more solid foods, snacks and even juices? Suggestions please.
Try to get your daughter to nurse more when you are home. Nursing directly from the breast will allow her to take more, and cause you to make more milk.
And she is already eating way more solids than she really should. I might cut that back to encourage her to nurse more when you ARE home.
I’m not pumping enough milk. What can I do?
