Robert asks…

Does professional home teeth whitening even work?

My dentist gave me hydrogen peroxide to use with these special teeth impressions made from my teeth. He said it will work but I used it a bit erratically so not sure. i am going back and gonna use it properly.

However my friend also gave me some 10% Carbamide Peroxide that you sleep overnight with. Will they work do you think? It’s PolaNight.

Also what foods should I avoid.. other than red wine and stuff that i dont drink. do i have to avoid everything with colour?

admin answers:

In office whiting products work better than store brands because of the percentage of hydrogen peroxide is higher its a better product.
Crest White strips do work well over a longer period of time.
You should avoid all staining products while bleaching like spaghetti sauces and staining juices ,tea, sodas, coffee.( a good trick with the coffee is use a straw)
I would use what your dentist recommended because if it does not work they can give you a new product in exchange that might work better. If your whiting is not working always tell your dentist your not happy with the results so they can rectify the problem for you.
Hope this helped.

Chris asks…

which is a better whitening gel for my teeth?

does the brand make a difference on the result of my tray whitening system? I am currently using Brav Premier whitening gel, I am looking into buying more but do not want to go to the dentist.. I can just order it online. I saw this brand Polanight online and was wondering if they make a difference?

Teeth whitening/bleaching?

I picked up my whitening kit from the dentist. It’s a 16% PolaNight. I’m using my Invisalign aligners. The kit has these syringes filled with gel that I put in the aligners.

I’m just wondering if anyone else has tried the bleaching kit. How effective is it? It says to keep the stuff on at least 2 hours. Can I wear it all night? And are there certain foods/drink that will stain my teeth during this process? I don’t drink coffee but do drink soda ever so often. The lady at the dentist said to use it till you’re happy with the color. Do most people just use all the syringes?

Dazzle White Pro is probably the one that I get the best results from.

It truly lives up to it’s promises as you can see results in as little as 10 minutes, with no need to wait days or weeks to see any results.

It is a little pen applicator which applies the whitening product to your teeth and after only a few minutes . . . You will see results, just as I did.

It’s truly a new type of whitening product.

Best of All: You can try it absolutely free so you can see if their claims add up — which if you’re like me, you’ll see results.

I put the website in the resource box.

Get your free trial today, I don’t think it is lasting much longer . . . If you don’t then you will only wonder why you didn’t take advantage of it, and kick yourself for missing out on this remarkable product.

Paul asks…

Teeth Whitening leaves White Spots?

I just used SDI PolaNight (16% Carm. Peroxide, 30 mins per session) obtained from my dentist. A number of months back i purchased the Perecta Rev kit (14% perox, 15 min per session) and it didnt have an issues for my teeth.

With this new SDI kit after just a single use i can see white spots on my teeth. Is this normal? My dentist told me to use it for 30 mins each night. I dont want my teeth to be decalcified or such for a slight shade upgrade.

Thanks.

admin answers:

Probably nothing to worry about. That is normal. The same thing happened to me with PolaNight and Perecta Rev. It should go away in about 2-3 hours. If it doesn’t go away the formula may be a little too strong for the enamel. Just take a note of how long it takes for the spots to go away (if they go away at all), because that is the first thing my dentist asked me when i told her about the spots.
Also, you may want to try cutting down to 20 minutes per session and see if that helps.
