Why are my tablet’s brush strokes short, jagged, lagging, and not pen pressure sensitive?
I have a Wacom Tablet Intuos 3 (PTZ), Adobe Photoshop CS, and Windows 7. I have installed the proper driver and configured the brush presets & shape dynamics to pen pressure. However, my brush strokes are always the same width no matter how much or how little pen pressure I apply, and I cannot make small, fast, short brushes (instead, only a very irritating circle appears everytime I press and only dots are left). I have tried following this:
“>Start
>type in search tab: turn windows feature on or off
>click on that
>then uncheck tablet pc option.
>it’ll ask you to restart, do it.
>wait few minutes then i think it’ll restart automatically again.
>then have fun.”
but that only resulted in me getting a virus and having to wipe out my computer. Does anyone know what to do?

Other people have asked the same sort of question on this board. They say that they’ve done the configuration in the driver and in the brush engine but are still having problems. I think it has something to do with the older software with the newer OS.
Make sure you have the latest driver installed. I checked the Wacom site and the latest driver version 6.1.3-5 is dated Jan 21 2010. You can find it here:
