Sandra asks…

GoSmile teeth whitener?

has anybody used go smile to get a white smile? I have very sensitive teeth and all other teeth whiteners hurt my teeth. is there a natural way to whiten your teeth. I also have a cap on one of my front teeth, can anything whiten the cap.?

admin answers:

I gave the GoSmile to my Mom and it didn’t make much of a difference for her, but I think she was just a really tough candidate since other methods didn’t make a dramatic difference for her either. Also the cap cannot be whitened since it is lab created, typically you whiten your teeth first and then match the cap to the lighter tooth color. Sorry I can’t give you good news. If you still have some other whitening product left to use, try using a sensitive tooth toothpaste only (no other paste at all) for a month and then using the whitener every other day. Whitening Toothpaste is usually only good for removing stain, but not really Whitening Teeth. Good luck!

Michael asks…

GoSmile teeth whitener on bonded tooth??

i’m watching the infomercial right now and it says it works on porcelain veneers and bonded teeth .. is this true? i really want to whiten my teeth because i broke half of my front tooth about 3 years ago. I have a bonded tooth and i remember asking my doctor if i could whiten them after i had them bonded and she said no, i would have to get it matched after i whiten my other ones. but the informercial says it will work??? AHH I REALLY WANT IT! please someone tell mee!

admin answers:

Hmmm infomercial should be evaluated with its truth in adverstising, anyway going back to your question, there are no whitening or bleaching agent available for home use or take home that could lighten even your composite bonded tooth or your porcelain veneers.

The primary ingredients of a whitening product is peroxide, and no commecial peroxide of any kind right now in the market that could bleach porcelain and composite.

The best way i suggest if you want to have that hollywood smile, go to your dentist, have your teeth whiten first, then after 3-4 days you can have your composite bonded tooth change its shade.
