Steven asks…
Really good cosmetic dentist in queens new york?
I need to get root canal on my front teeth and I dont want to have any discoloration on my gum after the root canal. Can someone refer me to a really good cosmetic dentist in queens NY?
admin answers:
No discoloration happens to the gums when root canal is done; it is actually root canaled tooth that is discolored. All that your dentist has to ensure is that the subsequent porcelain crown is color matched with rest of your teeth.

Lizzie asks…
Do I need to see my regular dentist before getting cosmetic dentistry?
It has been over 5 years since I’ve seen my dentist and I know that I have several cavities that need to be taken care of. Also, my teeth are crooked and my front tooth has a chip, plus it is gradually deteriating because I use to eat alot of lemons and oranges. Do I need to see my regular dentist before I can get cosmetic dentistry or can a cosmetic dentist take care of my other dental issues at the same time?
admin answers:
Your regular dentist can take care of all the problems you mention, unless you also want braces. Cavities and chips are routine dental matters, braces require an orthodontist. They usually prefer you to have routine dental work done by your regular dentist first. And although some of them will do the other routine work, they tend to charge more for the priveledge. So just start with your regular dentist and go from there.

Lisa asks…
How mjuch does a cosmetic dentist get payed?
I want to be a cosmetic dentist so how much do they get payed. i live in texas so if you know the state average that would be great.
Thanks Mahala
admin answers:
You can get paid $150K easy, but as a dentist your primary goal should be to promote health and not sell cosmetic procedures only for the money.

Jenny asks…
can a cosmetic dentist extend my natural fangs?
I have natural fangs that i would like to make just a little longer and sharper. Do you think a cosmetic dentist would be able to do that for me ? If so how would they do it
thank you.

I can’t quite understand the intense facination with vampires and wanting to become one…?
If you are serious, this IS possible. The dentist would probably recommend a crown for this desire. (A Veneer or a simple build up of filling material would probably fracture too easily.) The dentist would grind your tooth down, take an impression and send it to a lab for fabrication which takes 2 weeks. You then come back to have your new ‘fangs’ cemented in place.
Since this is a novelty-type crown they may charge you a little extra for the labor and materials at the lab. The average cost per crown in $900-1,200.
Years, months or weeks down the road, if and when you change your mind and want to be normal again, just know that you may have to pay for the cost of new crowns or perhaps they can grind them down to a normal shape and length.
Hope that helps you…
