Can a cosmetic dentist cement the spaces in my teeth?

I have one space between my two front teeth and one little one between my front tooth and the tooth next to it. Aside from that my whole top row of teeth are straight. I was wondering if they could just cement them as an alternative to braces or invisaligne

Although orthodontics is usually the best solution for your problem, a dentist,in cosmetic dentistry, can place tooth shaded bonded composite fillings on your teeth to close the spaces. Consult the dentist and he will give you the options, the pros and cons of various treatment choices, and the costs. Good luck.

How many years of college does it take to become a Cosmetic Dentist?

admin answers:

You first need to get your 4 year bachelors degree and make sure that you get all the prerequisite courses for Dental School. Assuming that you are admitted to dental school in your fourth year (remember that you need to score competitively on the standardized test as part of your admissions application), you need another 3-4 years of dental school (varies program to program) to get your general dental degree (DDS). After that, you need to do an internship in cosmetic dentistry which can take 2-3 years (depending on which program you can get into). All in all, you need about 9-11 years to go from high-school to cosmetic dentistry.

I know that it seems really long, however, doctors have it worse. From high-school to your first full “General Practitioner” MD paycheck it takes 10 years. If you want a specialty like “Surgeon” it takes somewhere close to 15 years depending on what you like to cut (neuro, orthopedic, etc.).

Though you have to spend all kinds of time and money getting these degrees, if you can make it through… YOU MAKE BANK!
