Nancy asks…
help! need options for my teeth.?
i know i need major work done on my teeth but right now i cant afford it. i visited my dentist for the first time and he said my front “block” of teeth (in picture below) are the major issue and need to be straightened. the back teeth are fine and i just need a major cleaning and whitening service. i am saving up for it and should be able to pay for it soon. i do have insurance but it pays for about 40% of the total costs.
i need mature opinions and help as to what i should do, what i need to get procedure-wise, and any other advice that i could benefit from or my options im able to choose from.
please mature and professional help only.

You need orthodontic work There is not enough room for the teeth to line up properly. This will result in having braces placed on all of your teeth even though the back teeth are meshing together okay. This will move the teeth around to gain the space needed to align the front teeth. But it should not take a very long time. Good luck

Dental Bonding Gap Fill UK?
Hey.. Im 16 years old and ever since i was a child ive hated the gap i have between between my teeth:
http://img18.imageshack.us/i/teethfc.jpg/ – quality is kinda bad of the photo because its cropped and taken from a phone but anyway i just wanted to ask you..
i have found about dental bonding recently and i want to get it done.. I live in UK, east london so i have a few questions:
1. how much would it cost me, in pounds for a gap like mine?
2. would there be a discount cause im under 18 and full time student, like will NHS cover anything?
3. would it look nice , like would my teeth be very very wide?
4. say i get it done, if i look closely like proper infront of the mirror. would i be able to tell i got it done? want it to look professional.
5. and my teeth are not yellow and are not proper white either, id say average.. my brother used to use them “crest whitestrip” like stickers that whiten your teeth.. if i order a pack and use them for around a week it should whiten my teeth.. question is if i get the dental bonding done should i whiten my teeth before or after the filling? for example if i get it done and use it cause theres like chemicals in the stickers would they affect or tear down the bond..
thanks.. by the way if anyone has had it done in around east london , or around like essex for example and are really amazed and thankfull for the job your doctor has done can you give me the address please?
and final question /sigh.. should i talk to my dentist first?
thanks again !

That’s a lot of q’s!
Firstly all of your treatment is free as you are under 18.
The treatment you are considering is a composite filling which is used for cosmetic reasons usually on front teeth to improve gaps, broken teeth and discolored teeth. NHS covers any treatment to the front teeth at your age especially for gaps as this is effecting your confidence.
The white composite material is bonded and set on your teeth surface and then sanded down to a smooth finish so nobody could tell up close you had this done. It is very good and effective.
I would Whiten Teeth before the composite filling as this cannot be bleached and you could then end up with very White Teeth and a duller front appearance. You would ask for the whitest white shade of filling i think B1? And then try and get your natural teeth that shade.
Any NHS dentist can do this and you must tell them it is affecting your smile and confidence so they will have a reason to do it.
You should go to your dentist and check that they have composite materials in a whitest white shade and then if they would be willing to fill your gap for you. I am sure they will as most do and they claim it back from the NHS so you dont pay anything and they get paid loads of money for doing it by the NHS Board.
Good Luck…

Bleaching and Tetracycline Stains (I have the solution!!)?
This isnt a question but I wanted to let you all know!!! I am using the professional kit from www.whitersmile.com.au and it has whitened my teeth dramatically!! This is awesome because my teeth were stained from taking tetracycline as a child. I was told that there was nothing I could do about it except spend thousands of $$$ on veneers… This product is amazing and soooo cheap – it cost approx AU$100 – way cheaper than the dentist and you get enough to do it heaps of times and a remineralisation gel to recoat your teeth in enamel and the essential minerals they need to stay healthy after bleaching – plus their customer service is great too! Just wanted to let you know as I would have loved to have been told about this product – it really works!! Good luck ya’ll : )
i dont wanna know if your “not interested” this is for the people who are. I am very grateful to have found this product…thank you very much but dont waste your time…

Professional Teeth whitening?
i’m getting my braces off in two weeks and i want my teeth whitened like with the Blue Light thing. my orthodontist and dentist don’t do this sort of whitening. how long, and how much would that cost at a reputable dentist or orthodontist?

I can recommend Beverly Hills teeth whitening services because they are very fast, effective and above all safe and non-harmful.
Check them out..
