Crest White strips advanced seal helppppppppp?
I got my braces off a month or 2 ago. I had that spottig thing around where the bracket was. I just got a sample of the crest and I put it on abs when I went to take it off the spotts are huge and white so I look like a freak with big spots at the bottom of my teeth. While this go away or if I buy them will it go away from whitening 14 days? My dentist was supposed to give me a at home whitening thing so I know I can whiten them
the ortho gave me some toothpaste to rebuild and protect enamel with liquid calcium in it. b.c i already had brown spots or decay that you cant barely see but i hated ot.
but that one sample of white stripes hid the spot and i cannot see it.
also no matter what i am using dentist whitening but i dont wanna go until my decay heals b.c they will fuss and fuss.haha
The white spots are areas of decalcification. Odds are you weren’t cleaning those areas very well and now the enamel is eroding. This is bad because enamel protects our teeth from decay – once it’s gone you’re teeth with start to rot out.
The bleach is actually making these spots worse. What you need to do is rebuild your enamel. You do this by practicing good dental hygiene. So you brush at least twice a day with a fluoride toothpaste. After brushing you can use ACT Anti-cavity (the kind without alcohol). You swish for about a minute, spit, then don’t eat or drink for 30 minutes. ACT is a fluoride rinse.
You can also ask your ortho or dentist about MI Paste, which is more concentrated fluoride. I have no experience with it, so I can’t speak to its effectiveness. It is more expensive.
Either way, be patient and vigilant. You can heal your teeth.
