baking soda and hydrogen peroxide is what is added to toothpastes for whitening, or hydrogen peroxide to whitening products (like crest strips etc), so it does work, but think of your tissues. all the products are meant to be applied only to your teeth and not your gums..and when swishing with it you are exposing your gums to it….and hydrogen is an oxidizing agent, so eventually it will cause some tissue changes.
I dont recommend any of things mentioned. If you can, save some $ and eventually get yourself some strips so it works as it is meant to work.

i don’t smoke or drink red wine but my teeth are also discolored my dentist has given me 16% peroxide stuff it took two weeks to see any improvement and i had to wear mine in bed for at least 8 hours so maybe you need stronger bleach and yes brush normaly with tooth paste i scrub mine lol they look quite nice now and mine where really stubborn!

this is a bad idea. Hydrogen peroxide liquid is not make to go in your mouth for long periods of time. The other 97% of the solution is not the same as the other 97% of a gel that is made for yoru teeth is. Even if you found 6% you wouldn’t be able to get it to stay in place, the paste would be wiped off immediately by your tongue, lips, cheek and get all over the place which could result in damage to the gums or other tissues in your mouth. Even with a gel like from the dentist you need trays to put the gel in in order to hold the peroxide gel on your teeth and stop the spit from making it run all over the place. If you want to do something cheap get whitestrips and don’t try experimenting with various household chemicals that are not meant for teeth
