Blue light/laser bleaching gives a faster immediate result, but is more likely to relapse. Many people need 2-3 sessions.
Home bleaching is the best way for long term results, and this is being backed up by the latest studies.
I like to give my patients Colgate Overnight – it takes 3-5 days for 6-8 hours overnight. based on Carbamide Peroxide.
Colgate have recently brought out a different formulation called Simply White – it takes 3-5 days again, but only 30 mins a day. I am giving this out to some of my patients now and will see what the results turn out. Based on hydrogen peroxide.
The studies suggest that longer exposure to bleaching is better, so the Overnight might be better than Simply White.
