Teeth Whitening Treatments – are they safe and reliable?
Twenty years of coffee and red wine have taken their toll, and my teeth are looking distinctly yellow. It’s become so bad that I am reluctant to wear white shirts, as the contrast between the white shirt and my yellow teeth is getting embarrassing.
My question: Has anyone got any experience with the teeth whitening treatments (with lasers, etc) at dentist clinics? Did it work? Is it reliable? Does it hurt? Did it last? Does it do damage to your teeth?
One complication: I actually have porcelain veneers on my 8 front top teeth, and they have discoloured as much as the rest of my teeth. Will the laser treatment restore the original colour of the veneers as well?

It is safe.
It does work.
Sometimes people experience discomfort.
It does not damage your teeth.
