Professional Teeth Whitening Methods products on Amazon:
Is it possible to whiten my teeth if I have a cap on my tooth?
The cap [plaster? it looks very tooth like!] has been blended to match my current tooth color…would conventional methods [for instance, crest strips] work to whiten this cap as well as the rest of my teeth, or should I go to a dentist to get Professional Whitening? Or, is the only way to brighten the cap by having a new, whiter cap put in?
I’d appreciate any advice you may have!
The post from Grandpa [first reply] was greatly helpful–thank you! I did do a bit more research, though: I don’t have a crown; rather, I have a tooth bond–I recall the dentist matching the shade of my teeth and putting in a putty-like substance, which she then used a Blue Light to harden. I apologize for the misinformation!
I’ll throw it back out to you guys: if I have a tooth BOND, can I get my teeth whitened, or will this still not work? If this won’t work, would I have to get a new bond after I whiten [I'd sure hate to do this :- ]

No, the rest of your natural teeth would lighten up ,the crown will stay the same color. It is not possible to lighten the porcelain. Net result is that the crown will appear darker than the rest of the teeth.
