What are the best whitening products in Australia?

I have had yellow teeth since i was young as i had medication as a baby. I have tried most toothpastes but none really work that well. I have barely any money as I am a student so I was wondering what the most cost effective whitening products to use. Or should i save my cash and go have professional whitening done? All advice would be helpful!
