Teeth Whitening Tips

In the past when you wanted white teeth you would have to go to your dentist because that was the only way to get teeth whitening, usually with corrosive tooth bleach. Although bleach preparations have improved they can still be harsh. Today there are many ways to whiten your teeth; however most of them involve dangerous chemicals that may be able to seep through the delicate tissues in your mouth, under the tongue.

Tips:

1. Application of a paste of lemon juice and salt in the yellowish tint of the teeth is a wonderful way of eradicating that dull color of the teeth.

2. If you use whitening toothpaste and brush your teeth twice daily with that you will soon find good results. If there is no other problem, you can continue using that toothpaste. Also look for the instructions and if it says that you must not use it for longer periods you must discontinue using it and give a break if necessary. Unless until there is any major cause behind yellow teeth you will get rid of them easily by regular and proper care and cleansing of them.

3. Tooth whitening achieves the same results as dental bleaching, with the only differences being that you have to pay your dentist to carry out the dental bleaching treatment for you, and the free method is carried out by yourself using a DIY teeth whitening kit in your own time.

4. The paste of bicarbonate soda and water helps in removing the stains from the surface of teeth. Powdered and dried bay leaves works as an excellent whitener if combined with orange peel.

5. Brushing your teeth twice a day with a whitening toothpaste will lighten your teeth by one shade after a period of time. Unfortunately, one shade lighter isn’t noticeable on discoloured teeth so in order to make your teeth 5 to 8 shades lighter, you will have to invest in a very good home tooth whitening treatment; preferably a treatment that is far superior to Nite White teeth whitening gel.

6. Use baking soda as a toothpaste. Baking soda has been used forever as a great product for brushing teeth. It doesn’t taste all that great, but it will clean those teeth like crazy. It is often an added ingredient in whitening toothpastes. That makes it taste better, but you get more whitening power by making your own paste of hydrogen peroxide and baking soda. Most dentists will

tell you not to use this every day, though, as it can be abrasive.

7. Eat crunchy, raw, natural foods. Carrots, apples, broccoli and such act as nature’s tooth cleaners. They can scrape away the plaque that adheres to your teeth and makes your smile less bright.

8. Avoid drinking water with any added fluoride or using toothpaste with fluoride as it’s been reported that it can discolor or stain your teeth. Also many other countries have banned fluoride in their drinking water due to diseases and symptoms that have been connected with it.
