Is it normal for my teeth to be sore from a retainer?
I got my braces off two weeks ago and just got my retainer today… my teeth are pretty sore. :S Do you think it’s because they shifted a lot?
Oh, also… I’m supposed to be getting Whitening Trays and I was warned they could mess up my gums… how so? I really don’t want to damage my guns because they’ve already receded quite a bit. 
I also feel like my bite is kind of off right now. D:
well your teeth might hurt when you first wear your retainer because of the snug fit. the more you wear the retainer the beter your teeth will feel. i also got my braces off for about two months now and have a retainer at first it felt wierd and i couldnt get it off, but now it is much better. after i had gotten my braces off i had a laser gum sugery turning my gums black and whte, but being me i couldnt wait for them to heal so i went and used Crest White strips Pro Effects. it was sensitive at first but had a great outcome and my friends have noticed the diffrence.
